This Privacy Policy describes how GoWrite collects, uses and protects your personal data in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2.1 Data provided directly

• Registration: name, email, encrypted password
• Contact: phone number (optional)
• Payment: processed by Stripe. GoWrite only stores the Stripe customer ID and subscription ID.
• Content: texts, projects, documents and uploaded files
• Preferences: language and UI theme

2.2 Automatically collected data

• Cookies: necessary technical cookies and advertising/analytics cookies (Google Ads) subject to consent via Cookiebot
• Browsing data: IP address, browser type, pages visited — in anonymous or aggregated form

3. Purposes of Processing

• Service delivery and account management
• Payment processing via Stripe
• Transactional emails (registration confirmation, password reset)
• Google Ads campaigns subject to consent
• Sending newsletters, writing tips and promotional communications (subject to explicit consent)

6. Transfer of Data to Third Countries

Data may be transferred to the United States through Stripe and Google, both certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (European Commission adequacy decision of 10 July 2023), which guarantees a level of protection equivalent to that required by European law.

7. Data Retention

• Account data: for the duration of the contract and 10 years thereafter for tax obligations
• Stripe IDs: 10 years as required by law
• User content: deleted within 30 days of account deletion
• Data collected for marketing purposes: retained until the user withdraws consent (unsubscribes)
• Browsing data: maximum 26 months in anonymous form

8. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent. Write to service.gowrite@hotmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.

9. Security

GoWrite uses password encryption, HTTPS communications and restricted database access.

10. Changes

We reserve the right to make changes to this Privacy Policy. Minor changes will be published directly on this page with an updated date at the top. In the event of material changes that affect users' rights or the way data is processed, we will notify you via the email address associated with your account.
